For US charter K-12

Built for charter operators and CMOs.

One platform for the school office. Lower TCO than PowerSchool. Multi-campus CMO rollups. State reporting, NSLP-ready lunch, and incident management — all on the same family record.

The problem

What makes this community underserved.

PowerSchool is expensive for the value

Most charter schools are on PowerSchool by default — and most are paying $40-90K/year per school for an SIS that doesn't cover tuition, lunch, transport, or auxiliary programs. The full vendor stack costs 3-5x more than the SIS alone.

State reporting eats one full-time role

State enrollment reports, attendance audits, free/reduced lunch eligibility, special education compliance — most charters have a half-time data clerk just to produce these reports across five vendor exports.

NSLP lunch program is a separate vendor world

NSLP-eligible lunch programs run on standalone POS vendors (LINQ, Heartland, MealTime). Free/reduced eligibility data lives in the SIS but never flows to the lunch vendor cleanly — manual reconciliation every month.

CMOs get no consolidation

Charter Management Orgs running 5-30 schools pay per-school SIS licensing. No consolidated reporting surface for the CMO head office; each school exports separately.

Why Edumagined fits

Structural alignment with this community.

Lower TCO than PowerSchool

Academy tier at $8K/yr + $25/student vs PowerSchool's $40-90K/yr. On a 500-student charter, that's typically $30-70K/year saved on SIS alone — before counting lunch, transport, and auxiliary savings.

State reporting on one family record

Enrollment, attendance, demographics, F/R eligibility, special ed, incidents — all on one record. State exports drawn from one source of truth, not reconciled across five vendor databases.

NSLP-aware lunch program native

Free/reduced eligibility flows directly from enrollment to the lunch module. F/R meal counts, NSLP claim reporting, and POS reconciliation on one Operating System.

Multi-campus CMO architecture

Network tier from $24K/yr serves multi-campus operators. A CMO running 10 charters pays once and gets consolidated reporting across the network.

Incident management for state compliance

Discipline incidents, safety incidents, restraint logs — all auditable, multi-stakeholder workflows. State-reportable in one click.

Revenue, not cost center

Auxiliary programs become a revenue source.

When camp, after-school, enrichment, and the school store run natively on the same platform as tuition — the school keeps the program markup as revenue. Versus subsidizing third-party vendors who keep that margin themselves.

Combined upside
$90–260K / year recovered from third-party vendors
Plus zero family transaction fees on tuition.
Pricing

Tier fit for this community.

Academy tier ($8,000/yr + $25/student) fits standalone charters of 200-800 students. Network tier from $24,000/yr serves CMOs and charter networks. Operate Standard covers managed setup, state-reporting workflows, and NSLP onboarding.

Economics: A 500-student charter replacing PowerSchool + a separate lunch POS + point vendors typically saves $60-110K/year on platform costs alone — before counting the half-FTE state-reporting role time savings. On a 10-school CMO, the network tier plus consolidated reporting saves $200-400K/year.

Common questions

What schools in this community ask first.

How long does implementation take?

4-8 weeks for Foundation and Academy tiers. We work alongside your office during the school year — no "go-live cliff" required. Network deployments take 8-12 weeks depending on org count.

Can we keep our existing classroom (Google Classroom / MS Teams)?

Yes. Bring Your Own Classroom federates Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace identity. Course rosters sync from Edumagined to your classroom; teachers keep their lesson plans and tools.

What about data migration from our current vendor?

Standard migration covers student records, enrollment history, parent contacts, and active tuition balances. Historical transcripts and financial-year data carry over as part of the Academy and Network setup packages. Operate Standard covers the full migration workflow if you’d prefer we own it.

Do we have to use every module?

No. Start with the core (SIS + Admissions + Tuition) and add operations modules (transport, lunch, library, front desk) as you’re ready. Subscription scales by enrolled modules.

What if we’re part of a network or association?

Network tier from $24K/year covers unlimited orgs under one umbrella — diocesan, ACSI / ISLA regional, CMO, or Christian school association. Single deployment, isolated data per org, consolidated reporting at the network head office.
